Salinity tolerance of germinating alternative oilseeds. Heather L. Matthees, Matthew D. Thom, Russ W. Gesch, Frank Forcell – Industrial Crops and Products 2018

A replicated growth chamber experiment was used to determine winter camelina, winter pennycress, echium, cuphea, and calendula tolerance to germinating under saline conditions.

Camelina and cuphea germination was tolerant to salinity while pennycress and calendula germination was moderately tolerant to salinity.
